Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel located in the heart of Thailand's capital just minutes from shopping, restaurants and street markets. Later join your tour leader and fellow travelers for a tour overview and welcome dinner.

After breakfast we begin our exploration of Thailand’s capital by visiting and observing the morning chanting ritual at Wat Po, Bangkok’s oldest and largest temple and home to the 150-ft (46-m) long gilded Reclining Buddha. We will then visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo, the home of the sacred Emerald Buddha before enjoying lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the great Chao Phraya River.

After lunch visit Wat Arun, a striking Bangkok landmark named after Aruna, the Indian god of dawn. The monument’s design symbolizes Hindu-Buddhist cosmology with the main prang 79 m (768 ft.) being the mythical Mount Meru, and its ornamental tiers the world’s within worlds. En route back to your hotel there will be a photo-stop at Wat Benchamabophit, nicknamed "The Marble Temple". Later tour Jim Thompson's House, where the late entrepreneurial American, single-handedly revived the art of Thai silk weaving after WWII. After the tour we enjoy dinner at the Jim Thompson Restaurant and Wine Bar, hopefully overlooking their Koi pond.

Early this morning escape the bustling capital of Bangkok on a full-day tour of Thailand’s countryside. The first stop is at the Mae Kong Railway Market, a very unique fresh marketplace located along side an active railway track. Vendors rush to fold their awnings when a train arrives and everyone tries to find a spot to stand clear of the approaching train. Once the train passes through, market business resumes as usual.

Then its off to the Amphawa Floating Market where we will explore the market in a long-tailed boat, before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards we begin heading back to our Bangkok hotel to relax until dinner.

We regroup later for dinner and Siam Niramit, a world-class performance of Thailand's arts and cultural heritage.

This morning transfer to the Historic City of Ayutthaya, (a UNESCO site) by luxurious river boat along the Chao Phraya River, which still serves as the vital artery of Bangkok and often translated as ‘River of Kings’. Relax and enjoy while we cruise along the picturesque of Thai river life, the uninterrupted line of buildings, markets and magnificent temples as well as the continuous flow of boats going about their daily routines. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch before disembarking and going on a tour of Ayutthaya’s top attractions including Wat Mahathat, renowned for the head of a stone Buddha entwined in the roots of a tree. Later, enjoy a dinner cruise around the Island City of Ayutthaya on a converted teak rice barge built in the traditional Thai style.

Thailand is famous for its food! This morning take part in a cooking class and experience true Thai culture with the local people through the art of creating delicious tastes and fragrances found in Thai cooking. An experienced chef will show you step-by-step the secrets behind authentic Thai recipes. Afterwards, enjoy your freshly prepared dishes while cruising on a converted traditional teak rice barge along the rural waterways from the Thai countryside back to Ayutthaya. After arriving back at our hotel the afternoon is at leisure. Later we’ll regroup for dinner at a local eatery.

After breakfast we journey back to Bangkok for the short flight to Sukhothai, located in north central Thailand. Upon arrival we transfer to our Thai styled hotel in the modern city, a mere 12 km away from Sukhothai Historical Park (a UNESCO site) and the ruins of Sukhothai, which was once the capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries. After check-in the afternoon is at leisure until dinner.

This morning after breakfast begin a full day tour of Sukhothai Historical Park. The site has upwards of 40 temple complexes spread over an area of approximately 70 sq km. At its center is the walled Royal City, guarded by moats and ramparts. Many of the significant ruins are within this inner compound, which can be explored by foot and bicycle. The design of Sukhothai, as with many major Thai cities follows set principles: a grand central wat complex surrounded by walls, river, rice fields and forested hills.

After lunch at a local restaurant, there will be personal time to visit Ramkhamhaeng National Museum. After arriving back at our hotel the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Later we’ll regroup for dinner at our hotel’s restaurant.

Morning transfer from Sukhothai to the rail station in nearby Phitsanulok with a stop for lunch on route. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery traveling in air-conditioned first class cars on the Special Express train to Chiang Mai. You will see plenty of sugar cane and rice fields as you travel through the heart of the country. After the sunset the train arrives in Chiang Mai where we will transfer to our boutique hotel within the city’s historic walls.

After breakfast we will transfer to a local market to purchase fresh ingredients for a Thai cooking class this morning at a school located in a country village 15 minutes from Chiang Mai. There, in an open kitchen your instructor will show you step-by-step how to prepare the ingredients and cook a number of dishes, which you will enjoy as well. There will be time to explore the herb and vegetable gardens as well as different kinds of fruits like longan, mango, rose apple, guava, lychee and jack fruit.

After lunch we will start a tour to Doi Suthep, a regal mountain that overlooks the city and home to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple, one of the most holy Buddhist sites in Thailand. Afterwards we return to our hotel to relax until dinner.

Today we travel north to a Lisu village to learn more about this group of people, their customs, traditions and culture. Guided by a Lisu villager, we will walk from Ton Lung temple to visit the herbal garden and continue through the village with a stop for a cup of tea at the village shaman’s house. Chat with the Lisu shaman and learn about his life, beliefs, curing rites and Lisu traditions. We will enjoy a tasty lunch before returning to Chiang Mai, on route stopping to visit an orchid nursery farm. This evening is at leisure to explore and enjoy Tha Pae Walking Street (Sunday Market).

This morning enjoy a picturesque drive through the rural countryside on a full-day tour to Elephant Nature Park; a natural home and sanctuary for elephants and many other rescued animals. After arriving at the santuary you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform before enjoying a sumptuous lunch buffet. Afterwards, walk with our staff and the elephants to the river and watch these gentle giants as they splash around and play while you stay dry on the river bank. Following goodbyes to the staff and elephants we return to Chiang Mai. Back at the hotel you’ll have time to freshen up before enjoying the tour’s farewell dinner.

After breakfast fly to Siem Reap better known as home to the iconic Angkor Wat temple, which is the single largest religious monument in the world. The temple is part of "Angkor" (a UNESCO site), a 400 km sq archaeological site that contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. A short transfer to the hotel followed by lunch and then the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Later it's off to the city's "Pub Street" for dinner followed by time to explore the bustling "Old Market" area ’ with its many clothing, handicraft, and art shops.

Start the day off early with a visit to Ta Phrom, a temple-monastery left abandoned to kapok trees, strangler figs, and giant creepers. This was the temple left in its "Natural State", as an example of how most of Angkor looked on its discovery in the 19th Century. From there, travel to Angkor Thom (which means "Great City"), once the capital city of the Khmer Empire, through the less traveled Victory Gate. Once inside, enjoy a brief tour of the Bayon, a richly decorated 12th Century pyramid temple with 54 Gothic towers covered with 216 gigantic stone Buddha faces.
