Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a traditional PHO - pronounced “fa” - noodle soup for lunch followed by a cyclo tour and coffee briefing in the French Quarter. Later join the tour leader and fellow travelers for the tour’s welcome dinner.

Start the day off with the sights and sounds of Hanoi by visiting the morning market and watching or even joining the dancers of Hanoi before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward set out on a city tour of Hanoi’s many highlights including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, House on Stilts, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Then stop for lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy a special Hanoi dish of Bun Chá. Continuing with the tour make a brief photo stop at the French Opera house before enjoying a walking tour along the legendary Hoán Liém Lake with a visit to The Huc Bridge. Later enjoy the sunset over the Red River and dinnertime with a local family at their home.

Today escape the bustling capital of Hanoi to the quiet pace of Vietnam’s countryside where it looks and feels like another world. Driving and walking the narrow lanes and dikes reveals the beauty of local village life, the daily making of noodles and rice paper, the working of the fields, elderly chatting and the children playing. Enjoy a hand massage and foot bath before having a cooking class followed by lunch of fresh countryside dishes. This is Vietnam as real as it gets, only a stone throw from Hanoi. This evening enjoy dinner at a very special not-for-profit restaurant called KOTO, which transforms the lives of disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Vietnam through its holistic hospitality-training program.

This morning transfer to Ha Long Bay, (a UNESCO site) featuring thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. Once on board enjoy welcome drinks and a delicious lunch as the junk (a traditional sailing vessel) begins cruising through the spectacular landscapes of this natural bay. After lunch, we will dock on Cat Ba Island and transfer by bus to explore Trung Trang Cave. It measures 984 ft (300m) length-wise through the mountains and was carved by nature for more than 2,000 yrs. Back onboard the ship, you can watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin or join a traditional cooking class in the making of some Vietnamese dishes. The boat then cruises to its overnight anchorage before dinner is served in the dining room. Afterward, why not try your hand at night squid fishing or grab a nightcap with your fellow travelers before bed.

The day starts early onboard with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Enjoy breakfast while the boat cruises further through the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Afterward, transfer to a day boat to visit Viet Hai village. Enjoy stunning scenery of rice fields on the way before stopping at the village, where you will visit and have a chance to see the local life. Enjoy lunch on the day boat as you sail back to your ship. Back on board enjoy swimming at an untouched area or enjoy the afternoon relaxing on the ship’s sundeck. Why not rise early to witness the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck; after which we serve a light breakfast. Afterward, head out in canoes to explore the bay in the area where the Toi Sang sea cave is situated. Back on board brunch is served in the dining room. While the boat sails back to the quay side a tea ceremony is served with the boat’s crew. After disembarkation, transfer back to Hanoi for the short flight to Hue

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City better known as Saigon. Business, cultural and tourist life is concentrated in an area bordering the Saigon River. Enjoy a light lunch with Pho before exploring the city's ‘Chinatown’ by cyclo where you will have an opportunity to practice some purchasing like the local Vietnamese women. Afterward, enjoy a brief city tour visiting the relics of the colonial past such as the Reunification Palace, the red-bricked Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Building designed by French architect Gustave Eiffel (inside) and the city's architectural symbol the Hotel de Ville de Saigon, a town hall lifted straight out of a French province. Leave the bustle of Saigon behind and travel south to the Mekong Delta also referred to as the "Rice Bowl" of Vietnam. On the way, see small children whiz by on their bicycles to school and women pedaling gracefully in their traditional “ao dai” dresses. A highlight of any trip to Vietnam is seeing the delta's floating markets, where locals trade from their boats. Witness firsthand the buying and selling of the many fruits, vegetables and fish at the Cai Be floating market. Visit local houses and observe pancake making, water hyacinth hand-weaving and learn about traditional musical instruments before heading back to Saigon. After breakfast fly to Siem Reap better known as home to the iconic Angkor Wat temple, which is the single largest religious monument in the world. The temple is part of "Angkor" (a UNESCO site), a 400 km sq archaeological site that contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. A short transfer to the hotel followed by lunch and then the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Later it's off to the city's "Pub Street" for dinner followed by time to explore the bustling "Old Market" area ’ with its many clothing, handicraft, and art shops.

Start the day off early with a visit to Ta Phrom, a temple-monastery left abandoned to kapok trees, strangler figs, and giant creepers. This was the temple left in its "Natural State", as an example of how most of Angkor looked on its discovery in the 19th Century. From there, travel to Angkor Thom (which means "Great City"), once the capital city of the Khmer Empire, through the less traveled Victory Gate. Once inside, enjoy a brief tour of the Bayon, a richly decorated 12th Century pyramid temple with 54 Gothic towers covered with 216 gigantic stone Buddha faces. Then it's off to a local restaurant for lunch before returning to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. This evening take part in a fun and interesting Cambodian cooking class. Today, set out early for the majestic 12th Century Angkor Wat temple and tour the massive complex before the larger tour groups arrive by bus. The temple is a source of great national pride, a powerful symbol of Cambodia and has also been a part of the nation's flag since 1863. Afterward travel out of town to enjoy a refreshing cold drink and explore a secret temple site just like the early explorers did centuries ago. Then it's off to lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation and leisure. Later this evening everyone will gather to enjoy an Apsara dinner show as our last in Cambodia.

Once a deposit or payment has been paid the following cancellation charges will apply when a cancellation notice is received:

• More than 90 days prior to departure: Deposit Paid

• Up to 75 days prior to departure: 50% of Trip Price

• Up to 60 days prior to departure : 75% of Trip Price

• Up to 45 days prior to departure : 100% of Trip Price
